Advance Peace interrupts gun violence in American urban neighborhoods by providing transformational opportunities to young men involved in lethal firearm offenses and placing them in a high-touch, personalized fellowship—the Peacemaker Fellowship.

LIFE Camp provides youth and families that have been impacted by violence the valuable tools they need to stay in school and out of the criminal justice system. We provide programs and other holistic approaches to reinforce self-esteem and respect for life among one another and also connect and mobilize youth to prevent and heal from violence in New York City’s most underserved communities.

NCST uses a public health approach in our strategy to reduce violent crime and murder in the City of Newark.

Employment Connection was founded in 1977 after a study by the Young Lawyers Division of the Bar Association of Metropolitan Saint Louis (BAMSL) discovered that employed ex-offenders were 66% less likely to return to incarceration. Our agency immediately began work to reduce recidivism. Employment Connection is also partnering with the City of St. Louis’ Health Department and Cure Violence Global to reduce gun violence in the Wells-Goodfellow/Hamilton Heights and Dutchtown neighborhoods in St. Louis.

YOU Boston is a workforce development organization that works with young people, ages 16-24, who are court-involved or gang-affiliated, reentering the community from incarceration, or seeking a refuge from poverty or violence.

Roca’s mission is to be a relentless force in disrupting incarceration, poverty, and racism by engaging the young adults, police, and systems at the center of urban violence in relationships to address trauma, find hope, and drive change.

The TC4E delivers training, technical assistance, and network-building to DPH Gun Violence Prevention grantees — youth and young adult-serving, gun violence prevention organizations in high-need Massachusetts communities, including Boston, Springfield, Brockton, New Bedford, Lawrence, and Worcester. Using a public health approach grounded in racial equity, TC4E equips organizations to align best practices in street level intervention (streetwork), workforce development and mentorship, mental health, comprehensive needs assessment, and community mobilization.

The mission of Boston Uncornered is to equip young people with the attitude, skills and experience to graduate from college, focusing on engaging gang-involved youth to become positive leaders in their community.
